Yay! New Toy!

Yesterday, some kind soul who I now cannot remember Thanks topaz119!!! told me about a software program I hadn't heard about before. It's called VirtualDub. This amazing piece of technology let's you take an mpeg file, and it will pull out & save the audio! Easy!

Any video you have a song of, you can open in this program, and with a couple clicks of your mouse you can have a .wav file of the audio! Then any normal music program (MusicMatch, in my case) can convert the .wav to a .mp3.

But, the best part? It has a feature that lets you change when the audio starts playing within the video. We've all seen those captured clips where the audio is way out of sync with the video. I was playing around with it this morning with my mpeg of JC & co (Matt?, Tony?, Dale?) doing an MMC music video to Live and Learn. I've almost got it synched up, where the audio matches the video. I want to play with it a bit more when I get home from work tonight.

Fun! I can't wait to go through my files and see what videos I have that I want to get mp3's for!

hee! that was me...and I'm so glad to see you found VirtualDub and got to using it. It's made me really happy, even if I haven't had the time to play with it much.

Thank you!!!! It's a fun little program. I can barely figure out how to make it work, but I got the basics of it ok.

Plus, it's been a lot of fun to watch Baby!JC sing & dance and try to make Baby!JC's voice match up with the picture. :) I even made myself late to work because I was having so much fun with it.

Not that that's hard for me to do. I'm late to work rather frequently. They all know that I'm not really late until at least 8:30am.

well that makes me feel better.

I hate mornings. They're cruel, awful inventions. If I didn't get paid hourly, I'd be late much more often than I am. As it is, if I'm an hour late in the mornings, I get paid an hour less which is something I cannot afford to do. I could make it up in the evenings, but by the time 5 o'clock rolls around the last thing I want to do is stick around the office for another hour.
