My body officially hates me...
Jul. 11th, 2012 03:45 pmI now get to add psorasis to my list of issues. Luckily it's just on my scalp, and it's all hidden by my hair. I plan to keep it that way. I have a corticosteriod for my scalp now (in addition to the inhaled one I use for my asthma).
But I'm not pleased. I'm currently cussing my family genetics, and my bad luck to be hit by all the major issues that run in the family.

Date: 2012-07-12 02:33 am (UTC)i don't know if it's something you'd want to explore, but mine (dxed multiple times as ecxema AND multiple times as psoriasis in my life) was primarily triggered by corn; even having something with a bit of cornstarch in it (canned foods) or syrup (soda) will bring it back on my eyelids for a few days.
it's only been the past 2 years that i found the correlation, but so long as i avoid all traces, no more itchy swollen eyelids or random red itchy spots on my scalp.
oddly RICE (including wild rice, which makes no sense since they're different families) seems like a major asthma trigger for me, so bad that a rescue inhaler doesn't help, and i've only tracked that one done the past few months. but i've got unaged dairy back since i've given up the rice, so ti's worked out nicely; i don't wheeze and sneeze from dairy any more and am going WILD with yogurt/sourcream/jackcheese *g*
