Hi all! :D
Dec. 14th, 2010 09:39 amLife got BUSY!!
Thursday: The end of term potluck for my ASL class went well.
Friday: I had a little sewing/crafting time with some friends. I sort of got a cool fleece hat done. I say sort of, because I forgot to do right-sides together when sewing the brim to the hat. With the brim turned up you can't see the booboo, but when it's down you can see the 3 layers of fleece that should be on the inside. I'm pretty sure I'll unpick it and fix it at some point.
Saturday: In the morning I went to go see Burlesque with a friend. I was hesitant, because of all the bad reviews, but I really like Christina Aguilera. I LOVED the movie! The soundtrack kicks ass, and I loved the musical numbers. :D
In the afternoon MrB & I traveled to Portland to meet up with some friends, one of whom was doing a hot fritter challenge at a restaurant. It was fun. Then we went to VooDoo Donuts (YUM!). Then the less-fun part happened. When we got back out to our car we realized we had a flat tire! :(
We had to wait about a half-hour for the AAA guy to come, he put the spare on, and we put the flat tire in the trunk. Because the spare was a donut tire and not a real one, we weren't supposed to go above 50mph (per my car's manual). So we had to take Hwy 99 home from Portland. We left probably around 9:15 or so and didn't get home until almost midnight.
It was a LONG day.
Sunday: I had my usual day of ASL practice, grocery shopping, hanging out with the hubby, and then skating.
Yesterday was a recovery day, even though I was at work. I came home and read a book and crashed in the recliner and did as little as possible last night.
ETA: I almost forgot!! Les Schwab rocks again! I went to them first thing yesterday morning. They sadly weren't able to repair my flat. :( However, they did happen to have a used tire that was EXACTLY the same kind as what's on my car and had the same tread depth. I got a non-flat tire on my car for $30! YAAAAYYY! for not having to spend $400+ on 4 new tires!! :D
Tonight I want to do one of my pilates DVDs (my skating will get a lot better if I can improve my core muscles which will improve my balance).
