As seen ALLL over my twitter feed:
A US District Court has ruled the a critical piece of the Federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) to be unconstitutional!

This is good news, but I wonder what sort of impact it will have. Evidently it comes from the Federal Government due to the DOMA treating some married Massachusetts couples different than other married Massachusetts couples.
I'd love it if this meant more states (& the Federal Government) recognizing and allowing same-sex marriage. That's not likely to happen immediately, but hopefully in a few years time it will. :)
Everybody should be allowed to marry the person they love.
