rosebeeI have a 'stitch n bitch' session this afternoon with some friends from my sign language practice group.
I tend to procrastinate on the unfun parts of sewing (the pattern tracing, fitting, adjusting, & cutting out).
With this gettogther this afternoon though I wanted to have my project at least cut out, as I didn't want to hog up all the space by laying out my 2 yards of fabric to cut out my pattern. I had time this morning, and I actually got the pattern all cut out!! I got all my adjusting done yesterday. :)
At the afternoon's stitch n bitch I'll have my pattern almost ready to go. I still need to transfer markings onto most of the pieces. And I'd like to pin the fabric together and do a rough fitting to see exactly how deep I need to make the wasit darts. Then once I get those things done I'll be ready to sew. And it's a good thing I have some non-sewing things to do, as some of the folks who are coming this afternoon don't have sewing machines of their own and will need to borrow the machines of the three of us who do.
