It's already Wednesday?
Dec. 2nd, 2009 07:03 amSadly MrB & I had a recent realization that although we're now down to only my income (as he's in school), we're still living as though we have two incomes (or one and a half incomes at least).
So I get to remember to cook dinners so I have leftovers for lunches. No more buying lunches out for me - probably at all. But the upside is that MrB has offered to make things for me if I can tell him a handful of things that I wouldn't mind taking for lunch on a regular basis. :)
It isn't much fun, but we can't keep drawing down our savings either (that would be less fun down the road after MrB graduates and we have no savings to help sustain us while he looks for a job - he's very worried about this possibility). Of course MrB has some *major* stress going on right now with his classes this term, so I'm sure that's part of why we suddenly had to have this conversation last night. It was one we needed to have, but he's so stressed/worried that it was a bit more... intense than I was expecting it to be.
Good news is that the work stuff that started yesterday is going VERY smoothly, and I'm rather pleased by that. It'll probably continue all day today, and likely most of Thursday as well.
I didn't get to bed as early last night as I would've liked, and didn't sleep super well either, so I'm a bit tired this morning.
It's VERY chilly - the local airport says it's 27!! But my deck thermometer says it's 35 (partially because we have a decent-sized pond nearby that helps keep things a little bit warmer).
'k. I've done enough ranting and self-pity-wallowing. :D
My new boy-crush (he's 24) Derek Hough is currently in London doing something dance/choreography related... I don't know what because his iphone that he's usually sending out daily tweets from doesn't really work over there! :( It's fun, but my curiosity is getting frustrated by not knowing what he's up to.
Joey McIntyre is coming out with a new album in a week! :D (I'm going to have to not spend ANYTHING on anything else that week in order to afford it.)
