So I *finally* caught up with entering receipts/purchases in Quicken.
It's been weeks (nearing the month mark).
I'm the accountant in the house, so I have the task - because hubby just likes to rely on whatever the bank tells him ::shudder::
Life's been busy, and I just hadn't gotten around to it.
But it's SO nice to actually have a *clean* desk!! :D
I also made really good progress on my purple halter-top dress. Last weekend I got it all cut out, and today I transferred all the markings to the lining & the main fabric, I got some bits pinned together, and I zig-zagged around the edge of the very ravely rayon lining fabric so that later on when I wash the dress the lining won't come apart.
One of my very favorite things about sewing is that I can make a nice natural-fabric dress or skirt, and line it with a nice breathable rayon (or silk, but I'm not that brave yet). A pet peeve of mine about ready-to-wear clothes is that they'll sell the nicest cotton, or wool blend, or other nice natural breatheable fabric... and then they slap a clammy, non-breatheable polyester lining on it!
I have the day off tomorrow! YAY! In my future I see: laziness, video games, and likely a little sewing. :)
