YAY! Saturday!! :D
May. 9th, 2009 07:14 amThis past week wasn't as crazy as I feared. And I even got to run away from work an hour early yesterday because I finished my big giant report early! :D
My mother never emailed me back about what she wanted or wanted to do for mother's day so I'm falling back to the same thing I did last year (luckily she liked it). A gift card to a local salon & spa, enough for a basic manicure, basic pedicure, or a half-hour massage. And a promise for a mother-daughter spa day with brunch/lunch whenever she's ready to redeem it. :)
Getting a massage every month or two or three was one of the fun treats I gave up when hubby went back to school almost a year ago. I miss them! My back gets sore/stiff. Not just becuase I'm a sedentary worker-bee, but also because I have mild (~15 degree) curves in my shoulders and my hips.
On Sunday we're going over to my folks/grandma's house (they live next door to each other), and then we're going to try out grandma's new grill (what kind/size she has I have NO idea), and we're going to have pie and have a great time! The weather's supposed to be beautiful tomorrow, too!! :D ::crosses fingers it stays that way::
Sometime this weekend I WILL drag MrB to the movie theater and we WILL go see the new Star Trek movie. I'm a big Trek fan, have been all my life. :)
Also sometime this weekend I will continue to work on the muslin of my halter-top dress. I think I *might* only need one (or two) more muslins before I'll be ready to cut into my good fabric. I've done two muslins already.
Thursday night MrB & I went with his brother & SIL & a couple of her friends to go see Wolverine. I liked it. Fun, entertaining, easy-to-understand/follow, didn't make me think too hard or confuse me. Just what I wanted that night.
And now I think my tummy is sufficiently awake to start demanding food.
I have 5 DW codes if anyone needs one! Comment here with your email (comments are NOT screened), or email me at rosebee (at) livejournal (dot) com.
