Oooooohhhh! Shiny!

rosebeeSo this whole HDTV thing is pretty cool! :) MrB & I are now the proud owners of a 46" Samsung LCD HDTV.
We don't have digital cable or a satellite or anything, but the TV is able to pull out the digital signals that are transmitted over the regular coaxial cable. :) There's not a ton of them, but we have the ABC, NBC, and CBS digital signals, and for some odd reason we have things like the History International channel in digital (with a few HD shows), and the Science channel. There's a couple others that I'm not remembering right now.
The regular SD shows MrB says look like ass on our new TV. I say they just look as grainy/blurry as they did before, they're just on a larger screen now. Of course they don't look as crystal clear & sharp as the HD shows.
I hate and despise cable boxes. With a passion. I hope to NEVER have to have one. Though if Comcast has their way they'll eventually move everyone to digital cable so that everyone has to have descrambler box to watch all TV... god forbid someone *might* have the opportunity to watch cable without paying the rip-off monthly rental fee.
I ordered my Wii from Costco.com on Friday at noon, I got the order confirmation email shortly before 8pm on Friday... but I haven't gotten the shipped item notification yet. I was kind of expecting that to happen yesterday. But maybe it'll happen today. I ordered the Wii Fit on Wednesday after work, got the order confirmation around 1am on Thursday morning, and got the shipped notification around 24 hours after that.
I iz ready for my Wii to get here!! ::crosses fingers it ships out today::
