I *love* long relaxing weekends!
Sep. 5th, 2006 02:34 pmI had a wonderfully quiet & relaxing weekend!
HTB took off Saturday AM for a guys weekend and didn't get back until Monday night.
It was odd not having him around.
My big accomplishment was that I actually managed to wash my car! I'm one of those folks who washes my car once or twice a year whether it needs it or not. :p
I go through the not-very-good (but free w/an oil change) when I get my oil changed, but with all the grime thats built up, that little free thing doesn't do so well at the scrubbing of the many dirt layers. So I took advantage of the nice warm sunny weather we had yesterday and actually washed my car! Of course I'm short and forgot to use a ladder or stand on the car floor with the door open so there's a dirty strip on the roof of the car where I couldn't reach. Oh well.
The other thing I did all weekend was play computer games. I wasn't ready to delve back into Sims2, and I also wasn't quite ready for my next big quest in Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, so I played Civilization IV for most of the weekend. It was fun, but I think I'm almost ready for my Morrowind again. :) I like having multiple games to rotate around.
Getting back into the swing of things at work is difficult. I'm really ready for a nice long vacation. But I can't afford to take one because I'm saving up all my time off so I'll have enough next summer for our honeymoon.
