This is FUUUNNNNN!!!
Feb. 7th, 2006 07:41 amBought Sims2 at Costco on Sunday. Costco is a wonderfully quiet place during the Superbowl. :)
Just played Sims2 for the first time last night. It's VERY different from Sims1. I was expecting it to be different, but not this different.
It's ALL sort of fun! I nearly fell out of my chair laughing the first time I saw the family's little girl jumping up & down on the bed giggling!
I started with pre-made family so I could get the hang of it all. I got the couple jobs (Mr. Sim lost his when he picked the wrong thing on a chance card, but I got him another job soon after). Mr. Sim is a Family aspiration Sim so it's easy to fulfill his wants (flirt/kiss/hug/talk/backrub his wife are his most frequent ones). He wanted a baby, and I wanted to see what a Sim pregnancy was like I got Mrs. Sim pregnant. :)
Sim pregnancy is interesting! I could NOT keep Mrs. Sims's energy or hunger meter full the last day and a half! She woke up suddenly and jumped out of bed and started spasming, and had their baby boy. Mr. Sims's aspiration & happy meter was through the roof!! Mrs. Sim just seemed kind of pleased with the situation.
The day before Mrs. Sim got pregnant their child Lucy grew up into a teenager, so now that Baby Luke has been born, I'm going to have Lucy help take care of him.
Mr. Sims aspirations were so easy to fulfill I had him purchase that smart baby milk and the thinking cap so hopefully I'll have a chance of teaching baby Luke to walk, talk & go potty before he turns into a child.
But first I have to get him through his infanthood.
Though before I do all that I have to get my ass off of this computer chair and get to work!
Sims2 is WAAAYYYYY too much fun!! :D

Date: 2006-02-08 11:15 am (UTC)And pregnancies can be a nightmare. Some are easy, others are puking for three days straight and their need are always in the red.
And with the thinking cap and the smart milk, you can teach your toddler to walk, talk and potty in an afternoon! So easy. Just make sure the parent making the milk is in gold (I can't really explain this in english but I'm sure you'll get it anyway).
Enjoy! :D

Date: 2006-02-08 04:15 pm (UTC)I tried using the thinking cap & smart milk and got the toddler to learn how to potty, but that was it!
Somehow things happen so much faster in this version that keeping on top of everybody's activities is a lot harder!
My teen's doing well and the toddler loves his logic-building toy! :D
I can't wait to get home tonight and play with it some more! I'm hoping to get the toddler learning how to walk & talk in the next day and a half (or is it a full two days still) before he turns into a child.
