Nothing like a big loud-ass boom/bang

rosebeeto wake you up at 2am!
HTB & I didn't have any clue what the noise was that woke us up until we got up this morning and HTB went to his side of the closet to get dressed and found that the closet rod was no longer hanging on the wall but was instead resting on the floor.
There was only a half-circle plastic piece attached to the wall that the rod rested on. That plastic bit was no where to be seen. That must've been the thing to break last night and cause the rod to crash down to the floor waking both of us up.
It scared the SHIT out of me!! Took me quite a while to get my heart to settle down into something approximating a normal heart rate.
Not fun!
But it's Thursday, which means it's almost Friday!
During our lunch hour tomorrow we're having a baby shower for a former co-worker (she just went downstairs to another department a month or so ago). She's a good friend of mine, we'll call her E. I had so much fun getting her a few little things for her shower gift. Her due date is May 5th, so we're oh-so-creatively having a Cinco De Mayo themed shower. whoo hoo. joy. I'm looking foward to it though! Then this weekend I offered to go shopping with E and help her get the things she needs to put her hospital bag together. Yes folks, she looks ready to pop at any time, is 36 weeks pregnant, a mere 2 weeks away from what Drs would consider to be a full-term baby and doesn't even have the stuff to put IN her hospital bag, let alone have the bag packed.
I'm looking forward to going shopping with her.
It's also been a blast watching her go through her pregnancy, especially since I've been curious about what it's all like and will likely never go through it myself (HTB *really* doesn't want kids, I mostly don't want them and... anyway, short story is that we're not going to have any and I'm ok with that and quite thrilled that I get to experience the whole process vicariously through my friend E).
But I've got to run to work now or I'm gonna be late, and that'd be bad.
