yet another too-short weekend

rosebeeHad some interesting times Saturday reminding ourselves of the many ways we're each used to operating as single people and some of the entirely unexpected things that we each need to remember are different when you're part of a couple...
and yes, that's vague but my memory's going and I don't remember any more details.
Eventually we ended up going on a hike around a reservoir up in the foothills, and it was green and breezy and cool and beautiful and just... PERFECT! I enjoyed it very much. :D

We drooled over canoes at a local sports/outdoor store.
We also added HTB tomy our? savings & checking account. When he starts his new job he'll just have that paycheck automatically deposited into our new joint account.
All of these little (or not-so-little) steps make it feel so real & fabulous & amazing!
Yesterday we did important things that we've been putting off for WAAAYYY too long. Like vacuuming the house, sweeping & mopping the kitchen & dining area, and cleaning the mirrors. We also did the requisite grocery shopping & laundry.
And we went on a wonderful little walk around the ponds that are close to our apartment complex. It too was fabulous fun! We saw a couple different pairs of wood ducks (they're just gorgeous birds), the ubiquitious mallards & canadian geese, and a still unidentifed flock of shorebirds of some sort.
It was sunny (but not too warm) and beautiful & I want 3 more please!
