My weekend got busy, and now I'm never, ever going to catch up with things. Not when I only can seem to find a few minutes each day for LJ.

Went on a lovely bike ride on Sunday on my new bike. Of course that was after I had my dad's help on Saturday in adjusting it. It turned that the reason I felt like I kept slipping down out of the saddle when I rode it on Thursday was because I was! The saddle was nothing close to being level. So I fixed that. It's level now, and my wrists were much happier for not having to support 100% of my weight as I kept slipping down. I also changed the little angle thing that makes the handlebars move around in almost a complete semi-circle. I moved them so they're almost as upright as they can get. Which also makes my wrists a lot happier!

Today is going to be a *very* busy day! Work should be fine, but after work... between 5 & 6:15 I have to find dinner & obtain BSB's Never Gone (thanks to the all-knowning LJ I am now aware that I need to find the DualDisc version of this album). Then I have to be at the salon at 6:15 for my haircut. Then as soon as that's over (hopefully by 7, but we'll see) it's on to my mom's house so she & I can go for a bike ride. Because today & tomorrow are the only actual dry days all week. Lots & lots of steady, heavy rain coming on Thursday, a little bit less on Friday, and frequent showers on Saturday.

We had the driest winter/spring around here! So dry they were talking drought! Serious drought! And now we've just been sopping wet. Which is kind of good, because all the extra rain has managed to fill up the reservoirs. But, I want a dry day!

I discovered a racoon on my balcony a couple of evenings ago. Not late evening, or even close to dusk. On my 2nd floor balcony. Scared the living daylights out of me! I've seen squirrels on my balcony before, but never a raccoon. The squirrels I just slam the sliding glass door open & closed a couple of times and they take off running. I did that with the raccoon and it just sat there & looked at me (like "what in the world do you think that's going to accomplish"). I was on the phone with hubby-to-be at the time, and he suggested that I get a broom in my hands and chase the critter off. Thankfully, that worked! I haven't seen the raccoon since, and I hope not to. I don't mind the racoon on the ground. But *not* on my balcony!
::sigh::
I want to catch up on LJ. I want to babble some more. But no. I have to go get my ass in the shower and get to work.
Work says absolutely no checking of personal home email accounts from work computers. Which really sucks. But they didn't say anything about LJ! Though their reasons for no home email was that public computers, and anything we do/compose on them could potentially be considered public information that would be required to be handed over upon request (the other reason was that home email isn't as virus protected, and they wanted to reduce the chances my employer's computer system was compromised). So that whole public information bit... that might apply to LJ. But only if I were to actually *compose* something. Otherwise I'm doing nothing more than reading something on the internet. Right? Right!

'k. Shower. Right. I'm going to go shower now so I can be a good employee and be on time to work. And pass my probationary period with flying colors. Then with it being a union position, I'll never have to worry again that they'll pull some surprise dismissal stunt on me like my last employer!
