rosebeeOne day of the weekend. Gone.
Yesterday was a pretty good day. Managed to get out for a nice bike ride out to my folks house & back. I went the wrong way on the bike path at first, and discovered that my favorite (& closest to me) grocery store is only 2 miles away on the bike path. I had forgotten the path went that way, I was thinking that in order to ride to the store I'd have to go over surface streets & a freeway overpass & stuff, but it turns out I don't have to! I also discovered that my folks house is only about 4 & a half miles away by bike. 3 of those are on the surface streets just to get from the end of the bike path to my folks house.
Don't know what I'm going to do today. I've been up for a couple of hours. Had breakfast... thinking about showering. It's nicely overcast/cloudy today. None of the ominous dark clouds we had yesterday. Those ended up being thunderclouds, we had lots of thunder & lightening yesterday afternoon, which is really rare for this area.
I'm thinking about another bike ride today. I'd like to see how far it is from my house to my place of employment. But I do have to be back & over at my folks house by 5:30pm. We're having a father's day dinner at my folks house with them, me & grandma. It's also going to be dad's birthday celebration (as his birthday is in a few days).
::looks out the window:: Leaves are blowing in the breeze... I wonder if another storm is on its way in or if we're gonna get some nice sunny weather... the weatherman says maybe some showers today & mostly cloudy/sunny (but we all know that you can never really truly trust the weatherman!)
