rosebeeI have successfully emptied out my old dresser (that I converted into a storage/medicine cabinet a couple of years ago when I got a very pretty curved-front antique dresser with an attached mirror). I have also put the tv 2 vcrs & 1 dvd player that were on top of a drop-leaf wooden table that I was using as a tv stand. When both of the leaves are down it's a nice rectangular sofa-table size. The aforementioned electronic goodies are now on an old tv cart that I happily did not throw away once I discovered I no longer needed it.
Now I have a good wooden table and an old second-hand dresser that's still perfectly servicable to give to my hubby-to-be. And I get to see him tomorrow!!! :D I'm flying out to his city to take a week-long grandwriting class. He just moved into his own apartment a month or so ago and doesn't have any of his stuff yet (his brother was storing it here in town while was saving money and living in a friend's spare room). I thought we'd have to go out and get an airmattress for us to use. He may be perfectly comfy with sleeping on the floor, but I am *not*. But! I just found out thathubby's [funny how things just flow out of your fingers sometimes, isn't it?] HTB's brother & sister-in-law will be towing a u-haul trailer over to him. There's not enough room for either the table or the dresser, but the 4 wooden folding chairs that fit inside the table I'll be able to take over to add to the trailer. Having a place to sit is always a good thing! I'll also be taking a card table over to my future brother-in-law's.
Read a disturbing letter to the editor in my local paper this morning. She says that there's a House Joint Resolution (HJR 42) in the works that will repeal constitutional amendment #22. This is the one that limits presidents to only 2 terms. I haven't had time to research this and figure out if it's a legit thing or not, but it's a damn scary thought!! 2 terms of Bushie is 2 fucking terms too many!
And now I really should get in the shower so I'm not any more late to work.
