Jul. 19th, 2005 07:16 amSounds like everyone had a very fun challenge weekend!
I'm sorry to have missed it, but all the fun pictures & stories were a very good substitute!
I had a weekend with the HBP.
Absolutely, utterly shocked by Snape's actions. I've read some comments and things supporting the point of view that he's still on Harry's side. I think I'm going to have to reserve judgment on that one. The first thing that popped into my head when Snape killed Dumbledore was "OMG! He's a double agent!!".
I really enjoyed the book, though I wish there was more talk of the classes and less of their collective adventures in dating & romance.
I'm dreadfully curious as to who those initials in the locket belong to (R?B - I forget the middle one). I'm also kind of disappointed that Harry won't be at Hogwarts next year, though the reasons for him going off on his own make perfect sense. I like Hogwarts and I'm gonna miss it!
There are (too many) other thoughts running through my head but I can't pull out and pin down the Harry Potter ones, so I think I'm going to go water my plants and head off to work.

Date: 2005-07-19 04:47 pm (UTC)I think he killed D on D's own orders, though, both to protect Draco from using a killing curse (since D said that that ...what was it... destroys bits of your soul each time?) and to make Voldemort trust him implicitely.
I suspect that the chapter about Snape and Narcissa and the Unbreakable Vow is a clue that an UV could be between Snape and D as well, either to obey D and be true to him, or to protect the students at any cost, or a combination of both.
It THROWS me that I actually think Snape might be on the good side....
I'm leaning towards Sirius' brother Regulus being RAB.

Date: 2005-07-20 01:11 am (UTC)And I read somewhere else how good legilimens (thought/mind readers - I'm not sure I spelled that right) Dumbledore & Snape are and that because of that there might've been some other conversation going on right before Snape killed Dumbledore, when they were just looking at each other.
I think I agree with you about Sirius' brother being RAB. I'm so ready for book 7!!!!
