Vacation planning is fun!! :D

Even if it's nothing more than an extended-weekend vacation.

I'm taking a couple of extra days off around Labor Day weekend, and going to go see HTB.

He has to do the whole job-hunting thing so he won't be able to come play with me. :(
So, I'm going to have to go by myself.

But I've found all kinds of fun things to do:
-I might go on a self-guided tour of the state capitol building.
-I'm definitely going to go visit the Botanical Garden (that place looks really interesting - hopefully should be some fun plants & cool birds to look at).
-The Peregrine Fund World Center for Birds of Prey (might be kid/educational oriented, but I figured it was worth a look).
-a local nature center/park (this one might be decent).
-another maybe is the state's historical museum
-a National Wildlife Refuge just outside of town (this one should be really interesting, as a fun historical note for the history buff in me it's one of the oldest refuges in the nation, established in 1909)!

I have all day Sunday & all day Monday to go play. :D I'm planning on driving home Tuesday, and taking Wednesday off to unpack & catch up with life.
