Misunderstandings & Katrina

rosebeeLooks like I misunderstood what HTB was telling me and it turns out he will have free time to come play with me and do things!! :D It's only during the week, after Labor Day that he's going to be busy. And convienently enough, that's *just* when I'd planned to drive home.
I'm very excited about this upcoming weekend. Should be lots of fun!
In other news, I've been watching the news and stuff the last couple of days and I'm just utterly amazed at what Hurricane Katrina & the aftermath has done to New Orleans. It's like something from a sci-fi movie (mass flooding & destruction, formerly vibrant & populous metropolitan area now totally uninhabitable).
I have a relative just outside of Mobile, Alabama. The town where she's in 2/3rds of the city is without power & phones. Luckily, her house was spared from this latest hurricane and they rode out the outer edge of Hurricane Katrina with electricity and telephone access intact! :)
