Questions & Observations...
Sep. 26th, 2005 06:41 pmI've been cat-sitting for a family friend since Friday evening. My mom took me over there Friday after work to show me where everything is. We filled the food & water, and emptied the litter box.
There's 2 cats. Tabitha's *very* friendly and a few years old. Duet's a kitten & very skittish. I've never met a more loving & friendly cat than Tabitha. Evidently she & Duet don't get along. Tabitha actually *hisses* at Duet. I didn't know that she knew how to do that! So I was over there after work this evening. Filled up food & water again (luckily they have those dishes that hold several days worth).
I was shocked with how friendly Duet was being. Normally she can't be seen at all (she likes to hide from people). When I was cleaning out the litter box Duet was just right there by me, watching me very intently. Once I was done, I hadn't gone more than two steps before Duet was making use of the litter box I just cleaned. The box had been a little full, and I guess Duet was *not* happy with that situation.
So many cars now seem to be sadly lacking some of the basic necessities. Like, oh, say... turn signals! I mean really, it's just a simple little lever... And then of course there are the cars where they have turn signals, they're just defective. As in they only activate once the driver starts turning the steering wheel. God forbid that turn signals actually give advance notice of a car's intentions!
I was sure I had a question I was going to share...
::sits & thinks::
Harumph!
Oh well. It'll come back to me. Eventually. Assuming it has any importance whatsoever, which it probably didn't.
I taped Extreme Makeover last night, but haven't watched it yet. I think I'm going to do that while I eat the rest of my dinner. I thought about making something, but after cat-sitting I didn't feel like it. Completely unrelatedly Jack In The Box's Bruschetta Chicken Ciabatta sandwich is really good. ;)

Date: 2005-09-27 01:58 am (UTC)You probably already know this, but food and water do go stale, so make sure to throw away leftovers and wash the bowls before each meal.
Sounds like Duet is shy, but really a people cat who will make do with you if her people is gone. *g*

Date: 2005-09-27 02:17 am (UTC)How long does it take for food & water to go stale? I rinsed out the water dish before refilling, but as there was only a bit of the food left I just refilled that one...
