rosebeeThe main reason I haven't been posting this past week is because I've been out of town on a business trip. I got back Friday evening.
The other reason is that I've been busy losing my mind and what's left of my mind I've been using to drive myself crazy.
The boyfriend still thinks that getting engaged in 6 months sounds like a good time. However, as he is still without a job, he is looking everywhere he can. From the larger city 2 hours north of us, the town where he & I are currently residing, the smaller towns anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half south of us... and also the town 8 hours east of me where he lived before he came out here. Needless to say, I don't like that last option very much.
If he gets a job over there and has to move, I have no idea what I'd do. I don't have the funds to pack up and move and follow him out there. I'd borrow the funds and follow him if that was where he wanted to say. But he says he doesn't want to stay there more than 2 years. He wants to come back here to finish college, but he'll start it while he's over there.
I really, really, really don't like the idea of 2 years of a long-distance relationship. While I get the concept that he needs to have a job that pays the bills, I just don't get why he can't lower his spending habits so he can make it on a lower wage. I don't want him to go. I don't get how the idea of him moving puts me to sobbing tears, but it doesn't seem to bother him at all.
He gets back tonight from his weekend away (in the town where he used to live, where he spent the weekend visiting with friends and dropping off a resume in person to a place he sent in an application not too long ago). Hopefully he'll get back into town early enough so that we can go for a walk. I like going for walks with him. I like spending time with him. :) I crunched up some numbers, and I'm hoping to sit him down and explain to him how we really will be able to make it on him earning $12 an hour and not just $14 or $15 an hour.
And now it's time to go to work so I can pay my own bills.

I'm a worrying sort though, so I suppose it's to be expected. :/
