I'm feeling guilty...
Nov. 10th, 2004 02:10 pmAnd no, it's not for spamming my friendslist... ;)
I'm feeling guilty and I haven't even done anything yet! Though, that's why I'm feeling guilty.
Bunches of you are posting these address request polls to send out Christmas/holiday cards.
And I haven't signed up for a single one (yet). That's not because I haven't wanted to, it's because once I receive holiday cards I feel insane amounts of guilt until I send out cards in return. This seems like it should not be a problem, right? Well, you see, the problem is I HATE sending out holiday cards. To the point where I sent out only 1 last year (to a good friend/former co-worker of mine who sent me a card, and I felt SO bad that I had to send her one in return).
I don't really *need* to send a card out to most of my family because my parents (mom & step/adoptive dad) still include my escapades for the year as part of their annual holiday card/letter. There are a couple friends (RL) and a handful of family members that I should send cards to (the family members being those on my father's side. For some reason my mom doesn't send holiday cards to her ex-husband's family. ;)
[edit]
I suppose if I buy those address labels that you can print on using Word it wouldn't be too difficult....
And it's something I'm going to have to start doing for myself eventually (since sooner or later I'll be engaged &/or married and it'd be really odd for my parents to still include my yearly adventures in their letter)....
Does anyone have hints or advice for how they do the whole holiday card thing (or how they make it easier)?
And for those of you who've had address requests up, I'm willing (I think) to be persuaded to post my address &/or put up a request of my own.
What was I thinking? ::smacks self in forehead:: I'm gonna be working 45 - 50 hour weeks from now mid-January. I don't have *time* to send out holiday cards.
(maybe) Next year.

One rule to this game....
You can NOT hit someone who has already hit you!
Now...
go out there and get as many people as you can, before they get you!
Post this image and message in a comment to a post of any Friend who has not "struck" you with a snowball. Do NOT post the snowball in your own journal.
I got you first! and you can't get me back!
