I'd put it off for 3+ weeks, and I just couldn't avoid it any longer (as hard as I was trying to). The ironing HAD to get done.

So I pulled out a dvd to entertain me while I did the ironing.

I ended up watching the MTV Europe version of Justin Timberlake's "Live In London" concert (complete with preshow).

The brief history the preshow showed was very sad.
All 5 boys happy as could be that they were finally rehearsing for and releasing No Strings Attached.
All 5 boys together, dancing, goofing around...

I miss my boys! I like the sound they make when they're all singing together. I like the fun they (seem to) have when they're together singing/dancing/promoting/touring.

Watching JC struggle to get press and then watch Justin (seemingly) shun the press that keeps him from having to do the same breaks my heart and does not bring me joy and happiness.

I just want their happy smiling faces in the media, is that too much to ask?

I really do not believe that the press is what keeps Justin from having to struggle. He's not doing anything that he *needs* press for right now, all they're doing is intruding in his personal life. He was very open to the press while he was working his ass off to get to the place he is now--which is a lot further down the road than JC is. I don't think Justin's at fault for not wanting press right now. He's knocked himself out for two years, he gets to take a break if he wants. JC took his break first, now it's his turn to work hard and put up with the press. If he's shunning the press, then he's sabotaging himself, and that's just a really bad move.

All *very* good points.

I guess I'd just rather see Justin... if not 'shun' the press, then maybe acknowledge the benefit he derived from them... but now that I think about it... that's not really something he should need to do.

If I'm being honest about it, I'm just a very selfish person who just wants to see their happy faces in the media on a regular basis. :)

see, I miss them too. I do think he acknowledges the benefits, because he goes along with them. Or at least, I don't know how long it's been since I've seen him flipping the bird at the paparazzi ;) I wish there was a happy medium, so he -- so they *all* were doing public things where they got press and many shiny pictures taken of them, but still had off time and privacy.

I don't know, I kind of have the maybe-overly-optimistic belief that if the press gets enough access to them in "offical" events, they might not get as much of the crappy long-distance lens pictures of them eating dinner in restaurants and stuff. (which I admit I look at too, even if I feel a smidge of guilt about it ;) )

I have the same possibly-overly-optimistic belief.

I look at those pictures, too. But I don't buy anything for those pictures, so I don't feel too guilty about it.

Let's hope for massive amounts of press access and pretty sparkly pictures at CFTC in a couple of weeks!

god, if it's anything like last year? Yeee! I just remember floods of pictures, both on the official photo services and fan-taken pictures. It'll be so nice :) it's always so fun to have something to look forward to~!

Yes indeed! The flood of reports and pictures of both kinds were nearly overwhelming (in a good way)! That will most definitely be something to look forward to!
