rosebeeWell, I thought I was going to be out of town on that business trip today. I was supposed to meet my coworkers at the office yesterday evening at 6pm. Yesterday at 1pm, I got a call on my cell from the boss (who had lost his voice so badly the only reason I knew it was him was because of caller ID) and the boss said that our departure was cancelled and we'd try again tomorrow (ie - today). So, I'm in the office today (have been since 8am) and we'll be hitting the road tonight at 5pm for a 2 - 3 hour car trip south to work at a client's for the rest of the week.
Tonight I will *not* get to sleep in my own bed, but instead will be curled up in a hotel somewhere. I also won't get to go on my almost-nightly walk with my boy. I'm gonna miss that most of all... :(
After much deliberation, decisions have been made! For this first week (because we're going down to this same client's all next week, too) I'm bringing the Hanson Underneath Live Acoustic DVD. I'm also bringing the cd & dvd set I got a while back that the Beach Boys put out. It's a good compliation cd and some good original footage that should be entertaining to watch. Since I'm only going to be at the hotel for 3 nights this week, I didn't need too many. Next week however, I'm going to need to have stuff for 5 nights. I'm also looking forward to catching up on my reading. I've gotten quite a few books out from the library lately, and I was wondering when in the world I was going to have time to read them. Looks like I found my time!
