I'd really, really like to be able to own & play Sims 2 on my computer. I could own it, but there's not a chance in the world my 5 year old computer would be able to play it. Eventually, I suppose. In the meantime, I continue to amuse myself with the original Sims.

I am looking forward to enjoying my week in the office. The next two weeks I'll be spending out of the office on two different business trips. And of course, the weekend in between, the office is having a big tailgate party that pretty much all of the employees have to show up and help out at. I volunteered to show up and help with the distribution of name tags, and I have every intention of sneaking out afterwards and leaving. The last thing I want to do on my sole free at-home weekend in between being out of town is to spend an entire day at a damn football game. I HATE football. I suppose I'll have to wear a festive t-shirt or something that bears the name/logo of the football team. I think that means I'll have to go buy something, because I don't think I own anything of that nature.

Well, now I have a boyfriend who can rip the guts out of my computer and replace them with modern fast-running guts. I just have to come up with the money to do so. At least it'll be easier to come up with the funds for a new processor, motherboard, ram, & videocard than it would be for an entire new computer!

I want it so bad! I'm fairly positive my computer is good enough, but there's just no way I can afford the game until November!

I talked with my boyfriend (who's a computer geek of a MUCH higher level than I could ever hope to be) and to get my computer back into the modern era I would need a new processor, motherboard, RAM, videocard, dvd drive/burner, and powersupply. All this could be had for $450. Then I could find a nicely legal copy of Windows XP Pro for $90. But that's a heck of a lot of money. My next step is to see what kind of a new computer I could get for that price.
