Nerves: My Tier 1 assessments for my derby team are tomorrow night & Saturday morning. I'm pleased that I get 2 chances at it again. I'm nervous because I REALLY want to pass so I can start working on the skills for Tier 2. Tier 2 assessments are in about 5 or 6 weeks.
Patience: I've decided I REALLY like the new Nook from Barnes & Noble. It was announced last week. It's already shipping out for people who pre-ordered, and will be in stores next Friday. If I wasn't getting one for my birthday at the end of next month I would've already preordered one. Waiting is hard. :(
Books: I've been busy reading! This week I finished up The Magicians by Lev Grossman. I also started & finished a quick book on Hiroshima. Hiroshima by John Hersey - it was hard to read in parts (the descriptions of the effects of radiation sickness/poisoning), but it was very interesting. I also started Voices from Chernobyl by Svetlana Alexievich. It's not as nicely organized as the Hiroshima book, so it's harder to read, but it's still interesting. Next up is another library book called Victorian London: The Tale of a City 1840 - 1870.
Sometime later this summer there's going to be a sequel to The Magicians! I'm almost done with the first one and am enjoying it enough to be excited about a sequel.
