I don't want it to be Monday... Can I trade it in for another Saturday?

It was a busy, but a fun weekend. Didn't really go out much, but got a lot done around the house. Or rather, I got a lot of sewing stuff done! :)

I'm making MUCH better progress on my long princess seamed dress than I thought. In 2 weeks is the open sew lab and I'm going to have the teacher help me with the sleeves, and the collar facing thing. I'm not sure if I'm going to manage the pockets on my own. I copied my sweatpants pockets, and got them pinnned on to the right panels. I've even zig-zaged the edge of the pockets with the edge of the panels so nothing will unravel. I found some good instructions online about how to add pockets, so I may try to work my way through the rest of that and sew the pockets together.

I also washed, ironed, and cut out fabric for a different dress! It's this one - the one in the lower right-hand corner. It's lined, and has lots of darts... both of which I'm going to have the teacher help me with. The class/open sew lab is only 4 hours long so I'm not sure how much of the 2nd dress I'll get done. I may see if I can start some of it before I go.

At least it's a short week! I'm still deciding if I want to work at all on Wednesday. I think I'll take just part of the day off.
