So I got an email from my ISP...
The first line was: "Notice of Action under the Ditital Millenium Copyright Act".
::panics like a headless chicken::
Turns out they found HTB sharing a software package (the ubiquitous one that involves letters, spreadsheets, presentation software, & other such goodies) copyrighted by a large company up in Redmond, WA being shared by HTB on a P2P program.
Thank GOD they only wanted the "allegedly infringing works" removed from the ISP's internet service.
HTB said that they were already removed as he found the file to be bogus.
He also said he'd be behaving himself now that he knew they were watching.
Evidently his previous ISP (a local homegrown version in his old town) never gave him any trouble like this before whatsoever.
I wish I had switch or something to close up myself/my house/my everything against BigBrother.
