Let's review, shall we?
Jan. 14th, 2006 08:31 amYou know that children's book? Alexander & the No-Good-Horrible-Very-Bad Day? I've had one of those.
For the last 36 hours...
Thursday night - ( spilled flavored carbonated water all over desk & part of keyboard. )
Friday (the 13th no less, and also a full moon) - ( hit head on corner, late w/credit card payment, slipped in public & skinned knee & 3 layers of skin on palm. )
That was just my morning & my day at work. I figured that was it and once I got through the remaining hour and a half of my day life would be good, or at least ok. But of course not. I got home to realize that a bunch of keys on my keyboard were no longer functional. Important keys like Del, Backspace, - , e, t, and u.
::bangs head against wall::
::seriously contemplates throwing self out window::
So HTB got home, we went out & got dinner at Costco & looked to see if they had any keyboards that would work for me. I LOVED my old keyboard. It was several years old, and was one of the original versions of the Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro. They don't make it anymore. :(
We looked around at several stores in town, and I ended up shelling out $60 for these.
So far it's not bad. But I still want my old keyboard back. I'm slowly getting used to the weird 'lift' thing that makes the keyboard slope downhill instead of uphill. The padded wrist rest is a nice upgrade from my old one thought.
I'm happy that I have today and the next 2 days off. I'm planning a shopping trip up to a nearby outlet mall with a friend on Monday.
Today & tomorrow is when HTB & I clean up/organize & put in storage all the excess stuff in the computer room here so we can make room for another computer desk.
Also today I'm going to go to costco.com and order me a customized HP Pavilion a1330e.
I'll post the specs later. :)
