::watches the rain make rings in the puddles::

Well poo. I wanted to go outside and stretch my legs a bit with what was left of my lunch hour, but it's all wet outside.

So since I'm feeling not-quite-motivated enough to exercise in the rain by myself, I'll just post to LJ. :)

I really want a nice lazy-ass weekend, but HTB & I have way too much to do for that to happen.
His car needs to be unpacked. The entire apartment needs to be vacuumed. Excess things not used very often need to be boxed up & taken to the storage unit.
Boxes from his old place need to be unpacked, sorted & found a permament place of residence.
The usual laundry & ironing need to be done. I *hate* ironing! And I can't even do it while I watch tv because the space where I usually set up the ironing board is being occupied by boxes from HTB's old apartment, I'm going to have to set it up in the bedroom instead. I have to do ironing because I'm running out of clothes to wear to work.
I have to sort though all the piles of crap & paper on my computer desk. I want to do enough sorting to where I can see the cheap-ass pressboard top, then it'll be ok to move the desk over a few feet (to make room for a 2nd desk). But first I have to donate a bunch of extra stuff that's occuping the space where I want to move the computer desk.

Random thought: Why in the world is vacuum spelled with two u's? It looks really strange.
Random thought #2: Listening to music & playing CivII is a FABULOUS way to spend a few hours some time in the evening after work. I can't wait until a new computer is purchased & we can play the CivilizationIV game that HTB got for Xmas. I've heard that version of the game comes with a built-in in-game alarm clock. So it will go off and remind you after x number of hours have gone by that it's time to stop playing and do important life functions like eating, sleeping, & going to work. That'll be a handy thing to have. :)

Random thought #3: The boyband-adoring-geek in me and the techno-geek in me are both having WAAAAY too much fun with the Justin appearance/news/pictures from CES.
News about forthcoming fun new computer toys & a Justin album all the in the same day from the same place?
Happiness is!! (well happiness is mostly, pure happiness is would be a magic wand to unpack clean sort & organize all the stuff in my house & make a new desk & zippy new computer instantly appear).
