So. If I read this post from
timberho right, CBS is doing an investigation into the "wardrobe malfunction". If that investigation shows that Janet & Justin planned/schemed in advance to flash Janet's pierced nipple to the world, then CBS will remove both Janet & Justin from the Grammy Awards telecast on Sunday...
I don't like this. Not one fucking little bit.
Though, I am taking comfort in the fact that the source of this report is ultimately the NY Post. Aren't they a tabloid-type thing, rather than a real newspaper?
From an email list I'm on (TOFTC) they shared some reports from JC's interview with The End radio station in Sacramento yesterday.
from 6mustang @ the JJB:
JC just got in town from Orlando. He was watching the Super Bowl with friends and the DJ asked him about the half time show. JC said that they all looked at each other and said "Did we just see what we thought we saw" and then they ran to the internet to catch a replay! He said he knew Justin would be there and would be singing RYB. JC said it wasn't Justin's fault because it must have been something that Janet had asked him to do as part of their song together. JC also said that he thought it wasn't really the time or place for it. That the Super Bowl should be more about the football and that there were little kids watching it.
( The rest of 6mustang's report )
( report from curlyfrey )
Why people are so upset about the halftime show thing that they feel forced to find a scapegoat is almost unfathomable.
It was an accident. (I think, anyway). The camera's were so far out nothing much could be seen. And if you think about it, isn't that a really funny place for the cameras to be for a grand finale of the superbowl halftime show performance?
::sigh::
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the media over the next few days.
I'm up early today so I can get to the office at 7am and leave to go on a business trip until Friday night.
I likely won't have any internet access until after I get back. :( But, I'll be too busy to care, so I suppose it doesn't really matter.
Most hotels nowadays have cable, including mtv & other good stuff, so I won't be completely deprived.
I can't wait until the weekend gets here & I can see the Making Of Halftime Show, and see what happens with the Grammys.
