Hmmmmm.... ::sips chai:: It's early! I'm *slowly* waking up. I was so very, very good yesterday. Not only was I oh so productive (exercised, made dinner, took out the recycles, and finished up almost all of the laundry) but I actually got to bed on time! I know, it was a bit of a shock to me too. Of course, this didn't stop me from calling the boyfriend so we could talk at least a little bit before I went to sleep. He decided to go out and get an answering machine for his landline phone. Techno toys are good and lots of fun, but you do still have to have all the old-fashioned accessories for those people who prefer to call a phone that's hooked into the wall rather than a cell phone.

I had the day off on Monday so I'm all screwed up as to what day it is. I kept thinking *all* day yesterday that it was Tuesday. And I really, really want to make today Wednesday. ::sigh:: Oh well. That'll make Saturday a downright lovely surprise when it ends up rolling around a day earlier.
A Saturday that I don't have to go in to work? Where I can actually sleep in as late as I want? Hmmmmm..... ::happy place::
First I have to get through this work day. The big let down now that April 15th has and the intense deadlines and pressures of tax season have passed is making me not exactly highly motivated at the office right now. The good news though is that almost everyone is facing the same problem. Maybe I'll get some more work to do today. That'd be good.

I LOVE that New Kids On The Block Greatest Hits: The Videos. Am I the only one on the planet that didn't know there were videos for "Call It What You Want (C & C remix)" or "If You Go Away"?!?! I really, really, really, really like the video for "If You Go Away". ::happysappysigh:: And the video for "Baby I Believe In You"? It's the one from the concert video, the one with Jordan up on stage all by himself, in the white button-up shirt that's not buttoned up at all, with the fans blowing his shirt & hair all around. Hmmmm... whoever put this dvd together has my eternal thanks.

The new Hanson album, Underneath? I got the limited edition version with the DVD. It has 3 songs from their soon-to-be released full-length DVD "Underneath Acoustic Live", as well as some interesting footage of studio time and sound bites about writing and working on the album. I'm so very glad that their out and doing things again.
I enjoy mindless, pure fluff enjoyment dance/pop music a whole lot. I also like the beautiful sweet harmonies that Hanson has, and also how they combine those harmonies with good music, and lyrics that are saying something more than "that girl's so fine, I'm so horny, I just wanna dance, etc".

And now that I've babbled on and on, it's time to shower and get ready for work.

Heee! I was too shocked to see it on there to be able to remember the words. It shouldn't take more than another viewing or two though. ;)

But, yeah, man, the memories it brings back.

Though, I think *NSYNC has me spoiled. I was watching the live performances on the dvd, and was cringing rather frequently. The music my 12/13 year-old-ears thought was golden suddenly isn't quite so shiny anymore. I still very much enjoy it, and I love the nostalgia of it, but I don't think I could listen to it day-in and day-out anymore.

I know what you mean. They're music doesn't tickle the ears as it once did, but it's good for the memories and nostalgia if nothing else!
