Feb. 6th, 2004 07:13 pmYAY! I'm home! Thank god! I like my job, but I don't like traveling to the back of beyond. I'm so tired of fish I never want to see it again for months. I was so far in the boonies there was hardly anything a vegetarian such as myself could eat. It's at times like those that I'm glad I'm still willing to eat fish.
My week in a nutshell:
*Good Things*
-a week with good-natured people who were easy to get along with
-cooperative & friendly clients
-a drive back over the mountain pass with nothing more than rain falling down
-BEING HOME!!
*Bad Things*
-absolutely horrible food
-a super squishy bed that made me seriously consider pulling the blankets off to sleep on the floor (which felt like carpet laid bare on a concrete slab)
-the disgustingly dirty microwave in my hotel room
-the half-dead spider twitching on the bathroom floor of my hotel room (he became fully-dead *very* quickly)
-being away from home in a strange bed in a strange room in a strange town for 4 days & 3 nights
-an email in-box that due to the events of this week presented me with 215 messages to wade through when I was finally able to check my email after 4 days
Now I get to go try and wade through those 215 messages.
I'm still trying to decide if I have the energy to try and tackle LJ tonight.
