rosebeeI do not like being sick.
I especially do not like being sick in a town I just moved to and don't have a established doctor in. My attempts to find a doctor that was taking new patients sometime this month was, at first, unsuccessful. For choices of doctors in this town, there is one LARGE monopoly, and a few smaller outfits. I first tried with the large monopoly, because they were what I knew about. Finally, after 3 phone calls to try and get an appointment with somebody, I called a smaller locally owned group of clinics. Still quite large, with several clinics around town. I get to go see a Dr tomorrow! I tried to see a Dr Friday night, but the guy who was in charge of the urgent care that evening was a quack! I came out with nothing but a prescription for antibiotics (an older, weaker one, too). Nothing to help my head clear up, not even any questions about what exactly was bothering me and what I wanted him to help with.
I'd babble more, but my ear hurts and I wanna go lay down.

Date: 2003-12-15 06:48 pm (UTC)I finally got an appointment for tomorrow morning with a doc at a nice smaller locally-owned clinic (they were even nice enough to let me come in right away and put off my mandatory 'new patient appointment' until the doc I want to see has time - which isn't until Jan 2nd). So hopefully he'll be able to give me whatever drugs I need to function.
