It's fun to spread rumors!

Rumors, gossip, hearsay, it's all the same. First heard this mentioned on a list I'm on when a girl posted saying that she heard on the radio before she had to go to work "that Justin was in a bad accident in L.A. last night, and that they (the radio station) were waiting on a fax from Jive."

So, I went to the JJB for more info. Found a post about it, but it'd been locked after only a few people responded.

Ok, someone on this board posted about Justin possibly being in an accident. Well, there is truth behind that, but he's safe, and so is the person that was with him. It didn't happen tonight. It happened Monday, but I didn't say anything about it. I didn’t want to bring up it up to upset fans, but I think it's only right fans know the truth. Thank God he's ok.
I was upset about the whole thing, still am. From what my friend told me Justin's car was ruined, but I could careless about his car. Justin wasn’t the driver, but I'd rather not say who was. This must be what the radio station is referring too.
It was either Vegas or LA. Trace nor Cameron were driving. I need to talk to my friend again, but he won't be on line for another couple of days.
My friend said the car was hit head on. Not a scratch on either the driver, passenger, nor the girl that hit them.
Oh, and the girl has to pay the insurance.


Well, accident or no accident, if it's one all the people involved can walk way with, injury-free then it doesn't count as a bad one.

Hmm... considering that CNN.com saw fit to let this crap (http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/Music/10/31/ple.madonna.ap/index.html) stand as one of their top news stories all day today, I would imagine that if something had happened, we probably would have heard about it. Heck, Brian and A.J. got an MTV news article a few months back, and the accident (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1473504/20030702/backstreet_boys.jhtml?headlines=true) they were involved in wasn't that serious, either.

Whatever. Just glad that everyone's safe and sound! :-)

yeah, the girl finally got through to the radio station to ask what in the hell was going on, and they admitted that they made it up.

Haven't DJs been fired for that sort of thing in the past?

I know a pair of DJs in texas somewhere were disciplined for that kind of thing. I can't remember if they actually got fired or not, though.
