First derby practice is over.
I am SO physically exhausted. I've never been one for team sports or serious workouts. I did so many lunges & squats it's a wonder my legs still function. After nearly a full hour of the most intense workout ever they had us put our skates & gear on for the skating-lesson portion of practice. My legs were so weak/wobbly from the workout, I was actually expecting to fall. I got off-balance a few times, but no unexpected falls! :D
Derby is going to get me into the best shape of my life! I just have to survive the process while my body gets used to working out so intensely on a regular basis.
