MrB & I went to a few open houses this afternoon to get an idea of what kinds of houses are available at what prices and all that sort of thing.

It was eye opening. It's going to take us a LONG time of looking to find something that we can live with. There was a LOT of crap out there. We looked at 4 or 5 open houses, and they all had deal-breaker problems.

Also, we ended up talking about moving & that brought up MrB talking about someday years from now wanting to move to Portland for better job opportunities.

For some reason the idea of buying a house and moving across town while slightly stressful to think about, doesn't provoke the major deep scary anxiety that the idea of moving towns does. MrB has said it's unlikely we'll move to Portland immediately after he graduates has he won't make me move towns for anything other than a really big high-paying job and it's not likely he'd get one of those straight out of college. That makes me feel better, but the whole idea of it still makes me teary-eyed and scared.

I'm still trying to calm myself down from the severe scary anxiety place I went to as soon as 'move to portland' came up in the conversation.

So I'm listening to Adam Lambert, and surfing the web, and trying to get back to my happy place. I made a DVD of Adam's performances on American Idol when he was on last season, and I may pop that in. Not quite a concert DVD, but it's fun in its own way.
