Genetics can kiss my ass...

rosebeeMy sleeping problems are all my mother's fault.
I emailed her to tell her about the troubles I was having (sleep fine the first few/several hours, but between 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 wake up and then toss & turn & sleep/doze restlessly the rest of the night).
She basically said she's slept that way her entire life (at least until the last couple of years when she started on a boatload of different medications for fibromyalgia). She did apologize for the genetics though. :/ But still. I would've been VERY happy if she'd just kept this particular batch of genes.
My wonderful understanding Dr (my regular Dr - the GI Dr is not so communicative & understanding) is increasing my Trazodone and gave his blessing for me to take the Ambien 3x/week. And I know if the trazodone increase doesn't help with the sleeping that he'll have other options for me.
Today was a really really good day for me, mood wise. The Dr appointment this morning went well (see above), I cobbled together enough sleep last night, and I felt like myself most of the day (at least until the afternoon sleepies hit at work full force around 3pm).
And now I go crawl into bed and hope to get a good solid 9 hours of sleep.
