Is Monday over yet?
Feb. 1st, 2010 12:41 pmNot only am I nice & tired today... but this time of year is supposed to be my busiest & craziest... and while it was for a little while, it's not any more.
I'm sure part of the boredom is just from being tired & not having the energy to remember & do all those little things that I'm sure are still waiting for me.
But I think part of the boredom is because I'm not challenging myself at all.
I don't mind not being challenged at work, I like a low-stress way of life. But I haven't even done any real sewing in *months*. I think it's time I pick up that big project again. It's nice having relaxing & lazy weekend, but I think I'll feel a lot better about life (& myself) if I pick some projects and get some things accomplished!
So here's what I want to accomplish:
-Vacuum the bedroom
-Trace, adjust, & cut out pattern pieces for the princess seamed apron I'm going to sew in a class in two weeks
-Finish adjusting the mock wrap knit dress
-Cut out the mock warp knit dress
-Sew the mock wrap knit dress
That's enough for now. ::nods:: But I also want to try an unlined jacket. I think I've even got a pattern that will work for it.
What the heck did I *do* this weekend? Saturday, I think I spent vegging in front of the tv & computer, then I did a little grocery shopping, followed by more vegging out (of the book-reading variety). Then Saturday evening was a family birthday party.
Sunday morning MrB & I went to IHOP (yum! & fun!), then I attempted to paint my nails (and was reminded why I 1) don't do so very often and 2) would rather pay to have someone else do them). Painting my nails took a full two hours... I was done, then messed up one and had to re-do it... and in the process of doing that I messed up two others and had to redo them (one of them twice)!! I also went to ASL practice, then came home and did the dished, cooked dinner, did more dishes, and a little light cleaning of the kitchen.
Here's hoping I find stuff to keep me busy this afternoon.
