I got a $25 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble from my half-sister! :D I want to use it to buy a DVD that was released last year "Tony n' Tina's Wedding"... Joey McIntyre stars as Tony. :D But I can't find at online... maybe if I go in person to the store they'll be able to special order it for me or something.

I also got a really good sewing reference book "Claire Schaeffer's Fabric Sewing Guide" (http://www.amazon.com/Claire-Shaeffers-Fabric-Sewing-Guide/dp/089689536X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1249228864&sr=8-1), a really nifty pressing tool called a Tailor's Board (http://www.nancysnotions.com/product/supplies/ironing/tailor+board+pad+set.do)... the using it unpadded will be VERY helpful for pressing difficult-to-press fabrics (hold the wood over the recently ironed bit until everything's cooled down and the crease/press has taken).

Let's see... what else?
Hubby got me the Tailor's Board and also a hardback copy of a Mercedes Lackey Valdemar book "Foundation". I've learned that it's best to buy those books in hardback when they come out - it's a LOT easier than wearing out a paperback and then years later trying to find it in hardback.

My folks got me that nice fabric sewing guide book (a VERY thick reference book), and a little 'mineral makeup' sampler kit my mom picked up at the Mall of America when visiting there with my half-sister.

Grandma got me a subscription to the magazine Burda World of Fashion (aka Burda, they're changing the name). This is kind of a spendy thing ($80), as it's made in germany (in german), translated & re-printed in England, and then imported to the US. It's a magazine that has sewing patterns in it! :D There's at least a dozen different patterns in each monthly issue, which is MUCH more than I can actually manage to sew in a month. My plan is to subscribe for a year, and then sew those things, and then after that think about subscribing for another year.
