rosebeeHad a nice birthday dinner with the hubby on my birthday on wednesday, and tonight is the family party.
It's still supposed to be uncomfortably warm so we're either going to have pizza delivered or get stuff from the deli of a local supermarket.
I got a birthday card from my grandmother... my 85/86 year old grandmother who said she'd never do computers... she has an email address!!! :D
I sent her a wonderfully nice long email. :) It's difficult for me to talk to her especially as she has a pretty severe hearing loss and even with hearing aids and a super-powerful loud phone from a hard-of-hearing self-help group it's difficult for her. And my grandpa had a slight stroke a few months back, and when I called when they were at the hospital he was doing ok, but slurring his words and had to think a bit to find them. He's also about the same age as Grandma. That was his first cardiac type thing. No previous strokes heart attacks or anything!
I tell my friends & family that when I'm their age, if I'm only HALF as mobile & active as they are, I'll be VERY happy!
And now I think I hear Zelda calling me. That or the shower. I'm not sure which yet. :p
