Earlier in the week I was going to wear a subtle striped wool skirt I got at Talbot's, with a pair of light-colored pumps I have. But I got my nylons from my dresser drawer only to discover they had a run in the back! So I wore my brown tights and darker pumps.

On my way home from work Wednesday night I bought some replacement nylons. I didn't see the Leggs "Sheer Comfort" that I know I'd had before, so I bought the "Sheer Energy" variety. Yesterday I put on my nice springy skirt I made, with my light-colored pumps and those new nylons.

By 9am I knew I'd made a HUGE mistake in my pantyhose purchasing! :( Those damn things were horredously uncomfortable! They were ok if I was standing, barely ok if I was walking, and uncomfortable for sitting down.

So at lunchtime (and the feeling of those nylons was so bad I actaully left for lunch early), I went on a mission to find the good "Sheer Comfort" version that I actually liked wearing. Happily I was successful and now I have two pairs. One I put on yesterday as soon as I got back to the office. The other I might actually wear today (I know - skirts 2 days in a row?!), as today is also supposed to be very warm.

It's utterly amazing to me how all the different kinds of nylons feel so different. And I know a lot of people don't like to wear them... and if the first version I'd ever tried was the "Sheer Energy" I'd never wear nylons again either! But I have full thighs and feet that don't like to go barefoot in shoes, both of which mean nylons are almost a necessity for me when wearing skirts.

Our apartment *never* cooled down last night, and it's still in the upper 70s inside here, whereas outside it's cooled down to the upper 50s/low 60s. Today is supposed to be even warmer than yesterday (by a few degrees), and I know it's going to only get warmer inside our apartment. This weekend MrB & I are definitely going to go pick up our room A/C unit from our storage unit. I also realized it was finally time to pull my late fall/winter/early spring down comforter off the bed and replace it with the *much* lighter weight summer comforter (more of a thin quilt than anything else).
