when is a CD not a CD...
Sep. 13th, 2006 10:38 amI've bought 3 albums recently. All on round shiny discs.
Nick Lachey's "What's Left Of Me", Jordan Knight's "Love Songs', and Justin Timberlake's "FutureSex/LoveSounds".
Nick's album has an FBI anti-piracy warning on the back cover, and the thing inside that holds the CD is imprinted with the logo "compact disc digital audio".
Jordan's album has the "compact disc digital audio" logo inside, but no FBI anti-piracy warning on the back cover.
Justin's album has the FBI anti-piracy warning on the back cover, but no "compact disc digital audio" logo inside. I can see the blank little square area where the logo would've gone.
I have not tried to play Justin's album on my computer at home yet (but it plays just fine on my computer at work). I want to rip & burn a backup copy of Justin's cd and I'm wondering what they did to Justin's album to make it not a true CD. HTB knows of some programs that will more easily allow me to rip just the audio tracks from the album. I'm goign to attempt to do that this weekend.
