I'm quite disappointed so far!

We didn't get any really interesting weather with this early winter storm system. :(

We got a light dusting of snow last night, but by the time I woke up this morning (6am) it was nearly all melted. Evidently some of the outlying areas around me got a few (or several) inches, but we didn't. It was very sad. :(

But it was also kind of nice, because while snow is very pretty to look at from inside where I'm safe & warm, it's scary to drive in! Not as scary as driving on ice {{hugs to lumin}}, but a lot most people around here aren't used to snow and such so having to go out and drive in it is not a real comfortable thing for me. I don't mind driving in it, I just feel much better about it when there's no one else on the icy/snowy roads with me. ;)

It's supposed to get quite cold tonight! 20°F! And when our normal nighttime temperatures this time of year are just slightly above freezing, that's really really cold!
They're also talking about my most hated winter weather happening tomorrow or Thursday... freezing rain! Booo!! Hiss!!
Work's really nice & quiet right now. ::knocks on wood:: It'll start getting busy & interesting in just a few weeks as we prepare for budget season and try to figure out how to squeeze money out of a bare-bones budget. At least I don't have to make the decisions on cutbacks. I just have to put the figures together so the people who're paid the big-bucks can make those fun decisions.
HTB & I are going to go to Best Buy tonight so I can buy Final Fantasy III. :D I play my nintendo DS while I do my lightbox in the mornings, and I need something else to keep me entertained. I eat breakfast & get through the paper, and I still have to sit there for another half-hour or so, and it gets SO boring.

I had a LOT of fun this weekend making up my christmas list. :) I found bunches & bunches of stuff I like in the lands end catalog (I LOVE their stuff). And there's quite a few video games I have my eye on, too. The 2 most recent Sims2 expansion packs I don't have (Open for Business & Pets), Final Fantasy XII (which looks FABULOUS!!), and I forget what else. Now I just need to drag my mom's list out of her (her birthday's in a week so time's a-wasting). And all the rest of my family, too. I'll have to remember to ask her for all that stuff when we have lunch together tomorrow.

And now, dinner & Best Buy await! :D

you can just put boo insteaed of lj user = lumin i think. that is what i do when i mention ppl. hugs from boo
