I am SO out of shape!

rosebeeI found a backpack & hiking boots! :) 
and these boots 
HTB & I went on a fairly mild hike yesterday only 3 miles round trip, and it only went up 1,000 feet... but the first half was really really steep... and my legs are killing me today. I'm so sore & so very out of shape. That hike is when I discovered that while my new boots fit mostly well, there's a little fine tuning I still need to figure out.
For the most part, the boots are SO comfy. They're wide width and they have plenty of toe room. But what I still need to figure out is the best way to lace them so my heel stays in place better and my feet don't slide forward quite so much.
