Because really that's one of those things that's best done in the privacy of your own home, and not at work.
I really really really enjoyed my two days off from work. But stuff kept coming! Work didn't stop at all, or even slow down.
And I don't like it.
There's way too much I have to do, and not enough time to do it in, and people keep interrupting me and and asking me all these questions (but first giving me the whole huge-ass backstory that I didn't ask for or even want).
All I really want is to be left alone so I can think about what I need to do to get caught up.
I'm so overwhelmed and I don't know where to begin and I wonder how much of it is an ADHD thing, and how in the world I go about trying to find my footing and not be so overwhelmed about it all.
A few years ago my boss had a similar extended absence from work and that time she was gone for a full 6 months. At the end of this month she'll have been gone for 3 months. I can't even begin to imagine what another 3 months of this would be like. My saving grace is that even though it's a time of year when some extra stuff has to be done, at least it's not the time of year when a whole crapload of extr stuff has to get done. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she'll be back before then (or they'll have someone in place to do that job).
