For a Monday, things aren't too bad...

rosebeeI actually got a good nights sleep last night! :) I woke up just a few minutes before my alarm went off and I didn't have an overpowering urge to just curl up and go back to sleep for several hours. I haven't had that pleasant of a waking up process on a weekday in a VERY long time.
I'm making substantial progress on all the shit I have with deadlines this month. I only have 1 more big report and 2 more little reports due! :)
I go back to my eye dr this afternoon for a re-check on my new glasses. My eyes cross and I have to have prisms in my lenses, otherwise I see double. I also see double just about anytime I don't have my glasses on (which is almost never).
Anyway, there's something that's just-not-quite-right with these new glasses and the opticians say that there's nothing wrong with them. But one eye seems fuzzy, and they feel wrong to my eyes, and every so often things fuzz out and get all wonky and double-vision on me.
So back to the eye dr. I'm hoping she'll re-test me and say "oh, there's the problem, we had your prescription down wrong". And they said that the frames I've picked out & paid for I can get turn back in and get a different pair. I'm thinking that the rectangular shape of the frames is not helping me to get as deep of a bifocal area as I want. It's taken forever to get just to this far to have the Rx re-checked. For the first week I had the new glasses I didn't wear them because the bifocal line was at the wrong place (I got my first pair of glasses when I was 10, and they were bifocals, and I've worn bifocals ever since).
Anyway, I have hopes that it'll all get fixed.
Quite a change from Friday afternoon where I was so stressed/exhausted/fried that I could barely think and went home at noon.
I also have all day out of the office tomorrow! I'm going to a one-day grammar seminar here in town. I'm actually looking forward to it. I know next to nothing about grammar, other than what sounds/looks right to my eyes & ears. I've never diagrammed a sentence, and if you told me to name 3 adverbs, or any of those other forms-of-speech/words I know I've heard of but can't recall their names I would be totally unable to do so. Let alone tell you where & how they're supposed to be used. So yes, totally looking forward to this little seminar.
