UH-OH!!

I have my virus scanner set to run every Sunday afternoon. Normally it doesn't find anything.

This time, however, that was not the case.

It found a virus on my system. It said the program file was "infamous.exe" and the virus name was "Keylog-Briss". The virus-scanner is deleting the file, but from the name of it, it doesn't sound good. at all.

I'm trying to remember if I logged in to my bank's online site recently. The site where I have to enter my account number & password.
For obvious reasons, I really, really, really hope I didn't.

Now it's time for me to go research everything I can about this little bug I seem to have caught.

I would recommend changing your password right away - preferably from another machine - and contacting your bank as soon as you can to have them watch your account for any suspicious activity. Good luck! *hugs*

Oooh! Good idea! I'll do that first thing Tuesday morning! (and I think I'll be going over to the boyfriend's house tomorrow to use his computer to change my password.

This just reinforces my *very* recent decision to leave IE and switch to Mozilla Firefox.

Yep, so far so good! No strange things happening with my bank account and I'm getting to like FireFox!
