Anxiety GO AWAY!
It's all derby related this time (but if it wasn't about derby, my mind would surely find something else).
I tied for the worst score on my Tier 2 assessments Thursday night. :'( A huge majority of my teammates only "not passed" one of the 10 skills (I 'not passed' 5 of the 10, only one other girl did that badly).
I KNOW logically, that this score will NOT cause me to be dismissed from the team, shamed, left behind, abandoned, or etc. The lead trainer has even said that they're going to split practices into people who've passed Tier 2 and people who haven't so that people like me who haven't passed it can get some extra attention on the things we still need to work on. They want to use these focused practices to "bring the group back together skill-wise". Some of the current Doomers have been on doom for 1.5 to 2 years, and have attempted the Tier 2 Assessments 4 or 5 times without passing!
However my anxiety issues aren't believing my logical self and are flaring up anyhow. Flaring up to the point where I had trouble fully enjoying & losing myself in the NKOTBSB concert last night! :( At least I see my psychiatrist on Friday and I can talk to him about doing something about this anxiety problem of mine.
In Concert news: I had a GREAT time! I had an amazing seat, danced my ass off & had a good time (when my mind wasn't worrying about derby, that is). I even stopped dancing in the middle of a song when I realized the way I moved my hips just then while dancing was almost exactly what I needed to be doing for my derby hip checks.
