You can take a paperback book to Kinko's FedExOffice they can cut the glued paperback binding off, and put a spiral binding on! I also had them add a nice sturdy solid plastic back cover, and a thin/flexible clear plastic front cover. I hope this will prevent the real paper covers from tearing off prematurely.

I had them do this to my ASL Handshape Starter Dictionary, and my much loved (& used) pattern fitting book. They're both going to be so much easier to use now that I can have them lay nice & flat when they're open. It was around $7 for the full-size (8.5x11) fitting book, and $9 for the smaller ASL book (they had a $2 charge to trim those front & back covers to size).

I have another physical therapy appointment later this morning. Progress on this kind of thing is so difficult to quantify! But I think my knee's getting better. There were a few days where I overdid it with the exercises (or something) and my knee hurt the next morning, but the last few days have been going well.

Two more work days, and then the weekend!! :) MrB & I are going to go on a garden tour to support the local public radio station - the houses on the garden tour have all been nicely arranged so they're close to the bike paths, and close to one another. They're encouraging the tour to happen via bicycle, and they're having courtesy bike valet parking at each cluster of homes! It should be fun!

Also this weekend, I want to make some serious progress on my purple dress. I have this idea of wearing it to the upcoming NKOTB concert in Seattle/Auburn on July 7th. :) Plus MrB wants me to make him shades for one of the living room windows, and the sooner I get the dress done, the sooner I can start on those!

OMG!

Now, I'd never call myself a 'fan' of Michael Jackson... but I have the Off The Wall album, the Thriller album, the Bad album, and the Dangerous album. He iswas a musical genius, and I always enjoyed his music... though the personal/legal issues he had in recent years, not to mention the insane & awful amount of plastic surgery, made my personal opinion of him take a nosedive.

All that aside though, he was Michael Jackson! The king of pop. There was no one else like him. His death is so sudden and unexpected and shocking. I feel VERY sorry for his three children. I hope they're with people who love them.

It's all just so very sad.

I have an urge to go play his albums, and just reminisce. I'm sure MTV will oblige me in this.

RIP Michael. RIP Farrah.
